We are James, Louise and Ben, a family run business established in 2013. You’ll find us at Balvenie St. Dufftown nestled right in the heart of the Scottish Highlands - the malt whisky capital of the world.
We love everything that surrounds us and embrace the natural beauty and produce Scotland has to offer.
Amongst other things, we run our ice cream shop, where we specialise and provide artisan handmade whisky ice cream made to our exclusive and favourite Single Malt Whisky recipes. Our love of Scotland’s finest export and James’ expertise as Chef has driven our passion to promote whisky and make this great flavour accessible to all, even the designated drivers amongst us can indulge!
As James’ school of thought goes “Whisky and Ice Cream are a marriage made in heaven”.
Great whisky and fantastic ice cream are truly a winning combination, and to ensure our ice creams are nothing short of outstanding, we purposefully and carefully select Scottish single malt whiskies, which shine with our selected dairy vanilla ice cream for our exclusive recipes.
Perfect with rich chocolatey puddings, sticky Rhubard and Ginger Crumble, or simply enjoyed on their own, we just know you’ll love as much as we do!
it may have been built on seven stills, but Dufftown is also renowned for its whisky ice cream…some of the tastiest whisky ice cream on earth.

And when we’re not adding whisky to ice cream, we’re serving it around the corner in our Whisky Bar and Restaurant, Tannochbrae and The Stables.
Hailed as one of Speyside’s hidden treasures, the Whisky Bar boasts an impressive collection of over 350 single malt whiskies and in our restaurant we celebrate Scotland’s natural larder, offering a menu which takes full advantage of the delicious and hearty fare on offer.
